HLFM thanks community after 20th market season
The Historic Lewes Farmers Market (HLFM) celebrated its 20th Anniversary Market Season in 2025 with special community events and at-market celebrations all year long.
Organizers this week said, “The HLFM is grateful for the unbelievable support for the last twenty years from a community that continues to celebrate local small family farmers and the mission to help feed its neighbors fresh, healthy food.”
Apple Celebration to feature Tevis, Stag Run Farm
This Saturday, Oct. 11, from 9 a.m. to noon, at the Lewes Elementary School parking lot, the Historic Lewes Farmers Market will be celebrating apples. The market will feature a special demonstration at 10 a.m. featuring Chef Dru Tevis, owner of Brûlé Bakery and national winner of the Food Network’s “Holiday Baking Championship,” along with Lenore Brady of Stag Run Farm.
Peach celebration planned at Historic Lewes Farmers Market
The Historic Lewes Farmers Market is set for 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday, July 19, at George H.P. Smith Park in Lewes, and this week will feature a peach dessert demonstration.
Lavender & Lambs Festival expands to two days this June
Brittingham Farms announced recently that their Lavender & Lambs Festival will be a two-day event this year. Last year, Brittingham Farms, located near Millsboro, welcomed more than 1,200 guests to observe sheep-shearing, lavender distillation, yarn-making and more.

Restaurant industry’s Cornerstone Awards to return
The Delaware Restaurant Association (DRA) will host the 19th Annual Restaurant Industry Cornerstone Awards on Monday, Oct. 18, at the Lighthouse Cove Events Center in Dewey Beach, with an after-party immediately following at The Lighthouse.
